The Edmonton Book Store is an antiquarian and out-of-print bookstore. We have over 80,000 titles in our inventory. We are buying and selling quality books every day of the week at our Whyte Avenue location. We also list our inventory online! (You can browse here!)
We can also assist with Large Collections and Appraisals
Appraisals can be arranged for tax purposes for institutions, libraries, and for private collectors. Please call for an appointment.
They are conducted by Barbara Ellis, owner and operator of the Edmonton Book Store who has been providing appraisals for private collections since 1992. She is accredited with institutions of higher learning and museums throughout Alberta, including the University of Alberta and University of Calgary.

- We are always happy to consider book collections, both large and small, for purchase. We buy books in our areas of interest, as well as antiques and collectables. Note: we are only available to buy books from Wednesday to Friday.
- A lay-away plan is available for pricier items.
- We can assist collectors as they build their libraries. We offer international book searches for hard-to-find items.
We are located in the heart of historic Old Strathcona on Whyte Avenue, between 105 and 106 Street. Come and visit us, and let one of our friendly staff members assist you!
